Job Description:

Operating a 225 ton to 400 Ton hydraulic press brake machine to produce metal parts by bending and shaping steel plate parts Ensures the finish products meet quality standards and specifications Following all safety procedures and regulations when operating the press brake. Duties and Responsibilities Ability to stand and perform handling movements throughout most of the work shift. The candidate must have arithmetic skill to perform measurement and calculate settings Ability to move heavy or large pieces of sheet metal as required Must be able to problem solve and address issues that may arise during operation with regards to machine and material issues. Must understand and follow safety protocols and procedures along with wearing proper protective equipment Must be able to Read and Understand Blueprints to properly set ram depths and back gauges on manual and NC controlled press brakes Understand the requirements for bending gauge thickness to 1" thick plate parts Must be able to select tooling, dies, and punches required per project Ability to operate an overhead crane to load tooling, dies, and materials

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation. Familiarity with press brake operation and tooling. Basic math skills. Attention to detail and an ability to work accurately and efficiently. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Experience with CNC equipment is a plus. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to work as part of a team.
