Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will operate and maintain press brake machines to shape and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality metal parts used across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement are prioritized. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to produce precise components Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve desired angles, dimensions, and surface finishes Perform routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify quality standards Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols, including crane operation and proper handling of sheet metal Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and welding processes Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations and implement corrective actions as needed Qualifications Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in tooling setup and adjustments for various sheet metal thicknesses and materials Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machine setup Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus; familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, EDM is desirable Experience with hand tools, fabrication techniques, welding, and assembly processes preferred Ability to operate forklifts or cranes safely; certification is advantageous Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection using micrometers and other precision instruments Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
