A Brake Operator at ICF Industries operates fabricating machines such as rollers, brakes, or spot welders that shape, bend, or spot weld metal sheets in response to customer requests. Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, program, or template. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating sheet metal products. Operates fabricating machines such as brakes, presses, or forming rolls, to bend materials. Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die. Depresses pedal to activate machine. Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces during production runs when needed. Assists lead/setup operator to set up and tear down machines. Stacks, identifies, and packages, finished work pieces to designated area. Rivets and spot welds work pieces. Keeps accurate counts of finished goods and scrap. Keeps work area clean and free of clutter.

3:30 pm-2:00 am, Monday-Thursday Experience working with industrial machines Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, vendors, and other employees of the company. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
