Job Description

Openwork Staffingis seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our fabrication team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC press brake equipment to bend sheet metal according to precise specifications. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail?driven, and comfortable working in a fast?paced manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Press Brake Setup — Interpret blueprints and job specifications to properly set up tooling, back gauges, and machine parameters.
  • Machine Operation — Operate CNC press brake equipment to bend sheet metal accurately and consistently.
  • Quality Checks — Inspect finished parts for correct angles, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Material Handling — Load and position sheet metal using carts, hoists, or manual lifting.
  • Tooling Maintenance — Clean, organize, and maintain tooling and workstations.
  • Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Work with the fabrication team to meet daily production goals.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience operating a CNC press brake (production or fabrication environment preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of bending sequences.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a physical manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate parts.
