Job Description

Position Summary Ginko Metal Works is seeking an experienced AMADA Press Brake Operator / Setup Technician with hands-on experience operating and setting up both older and newer AMADA press brake equipment . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sheet metal forming and be capable of taking a flat laser-cut or punched part, reviewing the print, selecting appropriate tooling, establishing the correct setup, determining bend sequence, making machine adjustments, and producing an accurate first piece. Experience with both legacy AMADA hydraulic press brakes and newer CNC/electric AMADA equipment is highly desirable. Experience with AMADA equipment such as the following is preferred: AMADA RG-Series Press Brakes AMADA EGB-Series Electric Press Brakes
AMADA HFE / HDS
/ HG-Series equipment Candidates do not need experience with every model listed, but should be comfortable transitioning between older and newer press brake technology. Primary Responsibilities Set up and operate
AMADA CNC
press brakes Operate both older and newer AMADA press brake equipment Read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing prints Determine proper bend sequence Select the appropriate punch and die combinations Install and properly align press brake tooling Set backgauges, tooling heights, and machine parameters Create or modify bend programs when required Perform manual setups on older press brake equipment Utilize graphical/CNC programming capabilities on newer equipment Perform first-piece setup and inspection Make angle, backgauge, and bend compensation adjustments Maintain dimensional tolerances throughout production runs Identify and correct forming problems Verify bend angles, flange dimensions, and overall part geometry Account for material thickness and material variation Properly orient parts during multi-bend operations Inspect finished parts using standard measuring equipment Document successful machine setups when required Maintain tooling and equipment in good operating condition Follow established safety and quality procedures Work with Engineering and Production personnel to improve forming processes Required Qualifications Previous experience operating AMADA press brakes Ability to independently perform press brake setups Strong understanding of sheet metal bending and forming Ability to read manufacturing drawings and blueprints Ability to determine bend sequence from a print Experience selecting punches and dies Ability to make machine corrections to hold dimensional tolerances Performing First Article Inspections (FAI) Completing and maintaining First Article Inspection documentation Ability to work independently after receiving a print and production requirements Strong attention to detail and quality. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Drivers License This position offers a competitive salary, opportunities for skill development, and a supportive work environment.
