Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor press brake machines to perform accurate bending operations according to technical drawings and specifications Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine proper machine setup and tooling requirements Measure finished parts using precision measurement instruments to ensure conformity with quality standards Adjust machine parameters as needed for optimal performance and consistent product quality Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on press brake equipment to ensure safe operation Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, including sheet metal forming, assembly, and tooling adjustments Follow safety protocols diligently and maintain a clean, organized work area to promote a safe manufacturing environment Skills Proficiency in operating press brake machines along with familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programming for automated bending processes Strong mechanical knowledge including machine operation, tooling setup, and mechanical blueprint interpretation Experience with related manufacturing equipment such as CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, plasma cutting tools, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and forming machines Ability to use measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, height gauges for quality inspection and measurement accuracy Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in fabrication tasks Familiarity with safety standards in production environments including proper use of hand tools and adherence to safety protocols Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for sheet metal fabrication and assembly tasks Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and efficiently Join our team where your skills will be valued as we produce top-tier metal components!
