Matern Staffing is hiring a Press Brake Operator for a global manufacturer of automation systems for the plastics industry in Fredericksburg, VA. In this role, you'll set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal and plate according to blueprints and production specifications. This is a hands-on fabrication position for someone who understands how to turn engineering drawings and bend specifications into accurately formed parts.

$18/hr

Schedule:

6am-3pm Monday-Thursday 6am-10am on

Friday What You'll Do:

Set up and operate computer-controlled or manual press brake equipment Select and install the appropriate punches, dies, and tooling for each job Load CNC programs and adjust machine pressure, back gauges, and other settings as needed Read engineering drawings, work orders, and bend specifications to determine production requirements Feed and position sheet metal, run bend sequences, and monitor the forming process Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and other precision measuring tools Verify dimensions and angles to make sure finished parts meet specifications Keep equipment and work areas clean, remove scrap material, and follow workplace safety procedures

What You'll Need:

High school diploma or GED 1-3 years of press brake operation or sheet metal fabrication experience Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings Experience navigating CNC controls and setting up fabrication equipment Basic math skills, including fractions and fraction-to-decimal conversions Experience using precision measuring tools Ability to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 30-50 pounds About our
