Job Description

Press Operator Schedule:
Monday•Friday 6am•2:30pm (Need to confirm)
Pay Rate:
$19/hour•$22/hour + Depending on experience
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an attentive and reliable Press Operator to produce high-quality tapes, labels, gaskets, and other flexible materials. In this role, you will set up, run, and maintain converted material presses and converting machinery (laminating, slitting, die-cutting, or sheeting). You will ensure parts meet exact quality specifications while maintaining efficient production timelines. Comprehensive training on machine operations, tool handling, safety, and documentation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation:
Read job orders, load materials, set up presses, and execute production runs to standard speeds and quality.
Quality & Inspection:
Perform initial and in-process product inspections using standard tools, fixtures, and jigs to verify dimensions and quality.
Documentation & Reporting:
Accurately record production run parameters, material usage, part counts, and productivity logs.
Maintenance & Care:
Perform daily press cleaning and routine operator care; handle and store tooling, dies, and fixtures properly.
Material Handling:
Manage raw materials, return unused inventory to stock following set protocols, and pack/label finished goods when necessary.
Workplace Support:
Maintain a clean, organized work area (5S standards) and assist with shipping, receiving, or shop duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong attention to detail, precision, and manual dexterity. Ability to read and follow technical work instructions and documentation. Prior experience operating converting, die-cutting, slitting, or printing equipment preferred (skill levels range from Entry-Level to Lead).
