In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining up to two Davenport screw machines in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while producing high-quality parts. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot up to two Davenport screw machines. Install and adjust cams, gears, stops, and tooling to control stock and tool movements at each station. Position and secure cutting tools in tool holders while establishing proper cutting speeds and feed rates. Cycle machines through setup, making adjustments to timing, tooling, clearances, and chip removal to ensure efficient operation. Perform routine machine maintenance and preventative maintenance to maximize machine performance and minimize downtime. Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality specifications and production standards. Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain productivity and part quality. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety procedures. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience setting up and operating Davenport screw machines. Strong understanding of machine setup, tooling, cams, gears, and machine adjustments. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and machining issues independently. Experience performing routine preventative maintenance on production equipment. Ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring instruments, and maintain tight tolerances. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
