POSITION SUMMARY

Perform duties of the Front Cell including set-up and run rotary hammers, back bend, and press product into shape as well as the set-up and operation of circle shear and wet blaster. Follow documented work/operating procedures to perform each task.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All machines should be set up according to cell work instructions Reading and Filling out specification charts Transfer cymbals between work centers and load on machines Ensure proper equipment/tools are used in the machine set up process Operate die handling equipment for the use of pressing product into shape Work closely with the Team leader and other cell members and communicate effectively across departments and shifts Maintain established quality and throughput standards Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and questionable conditions to proper supervision Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition with a focus on housekeeping and 5S standards Maintain daily production and other records as required Conduct preventative maintenance on machines as requested and complete documentation in the maintenance tracking system Perform other related duties as required or directed

Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preference given to 2-3 years working with metal forming processes. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is expected. This position requires reading, writing, adding, subtracting, and simple arithmetic as well as the carrying out of instructions. The role also requires the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required.
