Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various printing presses and related equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. Your expertise in color management, machine operation, and print production processes will ensure that each project meets our rigorous standards for quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Set up and operate different types of printing presses, including large-format printers, flexo presses, and screen printing machines, ensuring optimal performance. Interpret production documents and specifications accurately to prepare for print jobs. Manage color calibration and color management techniques to achieve consistent, vibrant results across all printed materials. Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing process to identify and correct issues related to print quality, alignment, or color accuracy. Collaborate with graphic designers and prepress teams using Adobe Creative Suite and prepress software to prepare files for printing. Handle paper cutting, binding, and finishing processes such as trimming or laminating to complete finished products. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating industrial printing equipment and machinery. Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and prepress software for preparing print files. Expertise in color management techniques to ensure accurate color reproduction across different media. Knowledge of layout design, typography, and print advertising principles for creating visually compelling materials. Ability to interpret manufacturing documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely. Skilled in digital printing technology as well as traditional methods like flexo press and screen printing. Experience with quality control procedures to maintain high standards of print output. Familiarity with machining processes related to paper handling, cutting, binding, and finishing tasks. Technical proficiency in adjusting industrial equipment settings for optimal performance.
