The company consists of professionals dedicated to delivering world-class service in print production, integrated marketing communications, data service, fulfillment and customer support. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bobst Die Cutting Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our Bobst die-cutting presses to produce high-quality folding cartons and packaging materials. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for quality, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced printing or packaging environment. Essential Functions:
Set up, adjust, and operate Bobst die-cutting machinery according to job specifications and production schedules. Perform comprehensive "make-ready" processes, including installing steel-rule dies, counter plates, stripping units, and blanking tools. Monitor press runs to ensure proper registration, clean stripping, correct crease/score lines, and overall dimensional accuracy. Inspect finished sheets throughout the run, identify defects, and make real-time machine adjustments to minimize waste. Perform routine preventive maintenance, clear paper jams, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Review job tickets and blueprints to ensure correct materials and tooling are utilized. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating die-cutting machinery (Bobst press experience is highly preferred). Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work overtime and weekends based on production needs. Pay rate is based on experience.
