About the Role Added Edge Assembly has been building custom electrical assemblies for manufacturers since 1991, and we are growing. We are looking for a Wire Cutting Machine Operator to run our automated wire cutting and stripping equipment — setting up jobs, running them to spec, and making sure every wire that leaves the station is cut, stripped, and labeled correctly. This is a hands-on role. As production volume increases, you will also help out with other back shop duties, so we are looking for someone willing to jump in where they are needed and learn new parts of the process along the way. ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup You will set up the wire cutting machine for each job on the production schedule, changing tooling as the job requires and adjusting settings such as cut length and strip depth to match the specifications. You will also replace labels and ribbon as they run out so the line keeps moving. Operation You will run jobs according to the daily production schedule, staying with the machine while it runs to keep it clean and free of jams. When something goes wrong, you will troubleshoot the problem and correct it, or escalate it if it is beyond a quick fix. Quality Assurance Before and during every run, you will verify that the machine is cutting to the correct length, that the strip lengths on both ends are right, and that the quantity cut matches what the job calls for. Catching out-of-spec product at your station — before it moves down the line — is the most important part of this job. Print Reading You will read customer product prints and layouts to identify wire type, gauge, color, and length specifications, and set up jobs from what those prints tell you. As you get comfortable, you will also use that skill to support other areas of production when they need an extra set of eyes. General Maintenance You will keep the machines and your work area clean, and replace feed belts, blades, and tooling as they wear so the equipment stays in good condition. Inventory You will keep track of what you are using and let the right people know when supplies are getting low — wire, labels, ribbon, tooling, and other consumables — before a shortage stops a job. Back Shop Support As our volume grows, you will assist with other production and assembly tasks throughout the shop as needed. What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; certification or associate degree in a related field of study preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or shop environment (wire, cable, or harness experience is a big plus, but we will train the right person)
• Tech savvy — comfortable working on a computer, using a tablet on the shop floor, entering and reading data in Excel spreadsheets, and managing your own time records in Gusto
• Solid basic math skills, including working comfortably with fractions and calculating how much wire a job requires
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints, drawings, and layouts
• Technical aptitude and the ability to read and follow complex procedures and directions
• Detail-oriented, with the patience to check your own work and catch small errors before they become big ones
• Able to work both with a team and independently, and maintain the required level of productivity and accuracy
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, and availability for overtime when production requires it
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening Essential Physical Requirements Manufacturing and assembly work at Added Edge is physically demanding, hands-on work. To keep yourself and your coworkers safe and to perform the job successfully, you must be able to do the following, with or without a reasonable accommodation:
• Lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials, parts, and components — frequently up to 50 lbs, and occasionally more with assistance
• Normal or corrected vision sufficient for close, detailed work such as reading prints and inspecting small parts
• Full color vision — the ability to clearly distinguish colors, which is required for wiring, components, and color-coded work
• Manual dexterity and steady hands for intricate tasks such as crimping and small-part assembly

• Work in varying temperatures — our facility is not climate-controlled to office standards, so it gets hot in summer and cold in winter

• Attendance and punctuality. Regular attendance is essential to our operation. If you are going to be absent or late, notify your foreman at least 2 hours before your scheduled shift. Attendance is tracked automatically through our Gusto time kiosk and managed under a rolling 12-month point system.

Your First 90 Days Your first 90 days are your Onboarding Period. Day one begins with a welcome and orientation covering safety, your workstation, and timekeeping. You can expect regular check-ins with your foreman during your first weeks, an informal 30-day conversation on how things are going, and a performance review near the end of the 90 days to confirm the fit and set expectations going forward. It is a two-way evaluation — we want this to be the right job for you as much as the right hire for us. Pay and Benefits

• Paid holidays from day one.

Seven paid holidays:

New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. No waiting period for holiday pay.

• Paid Sick Time from day one. 40 hours (5 days) per year, available your first day, with no advance notice required and separate from PTO.
• Paid Time Off after onboarding. 40 hours (5 days) per year after your 90-day Onboarding Period, growing to 56 hours after 2 years and 80 hours after 5 years of service.
• Group health and prescription drug coverage. Available to full-time employees after the 90-day Onboarding Period. The Company pays a percentage of the premium for employee-only plans; family coverage is available.
• Profit sharing. Vested profit-sharing opportunities after continuous employment.
