Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Bindery Operator (Folder, Stitcher, Cutter) working on any shift! In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining binding and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. Your expertise in mechanical processes, machine operation, and quality control will ensure that every product meets our standards of excellence. This position offers an energetic environment where your technical proficiency and attention to detail will drive the success of our production line.
Responsibilities:
Oversees that all safety procedures are being followed and that any unsafe conditions are corrected or reported to the manager. Ability to read and understand the job jacket to set-up the job based on those instructions. Visually inspects product and uses measuring instruments to check conformance with job specifications. Responsible to establish and maintain the quality of a job within the tolerances. Uses all technologies, features, and materials necessary to maximize productivity during the production of jobs. Inputs accurate information into the data collection process. Performs preventative maintenance on all finishing equipment as needed. Responsible for recording all repairs and maintenance in maintenance log books. Responsible for maintaining and understanding all tools and instruments to operate and maintain the finishing equipment. Is familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets. Maintains the area for cleanliness in the area of equipment that is in operation. Takes cutting orders and sets up cutter in accordance with instructions. Sets automatic programs into machines for maximum productivity. Performs job make-ready by setting up and adjusting cutter, feeder, folder, stitcher, perfect binder, three-knife trimmer, drill press and/or delivery. Starts machine and runs a few samples through to check for accuracy. Submits samples to supervisor for final approval. Closely observes materials delivered off machine to insure that it is maintaining quality standards. Tags all work completed with description and operators name. This includes keeping separate the samples. Instructs others in technical and mechanical operations of equipment. Follows specific packing instructions according to the job jacket. Must be able to lift 40lbs. High school diploma or GED plus experience or vocational/technical degree. Requirements High school diploma or GED plus experience or vocational/technical degree. Proven experience operating bindery or finishing equipment in a manufacturing or print production environment. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues. .This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute their technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting!
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
