3rd shift 9p-5a
Career Opportunity :
The Spartanburg, SC plant is seeking an experienced Die Cut Operator to join our production team for our second shift.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
  • Responsible for setting up the machine for the production run, sheets, dies, etc.
  • Operate the machine, following all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position, and department accurately.
  • Evaluate production quality and bring concerns to the appropriate lead or supervisor.
  • Perform routine adjustments during the production run and maintain production throughout the run.
  • Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Contribute to quality investigations when necessary.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
What You Need to
Succeed:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous die cut experience and printing capability required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to lift, push and/or pull 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and management.
  • Maintain good attendance.
