T&L Custom Screening, Inc. has been providing professional screen printing, embroidery, and custom apparel decoration since 1996. We pride ourselves on using the latest technology and high-quality inks to bring our clients' designs to life. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Automatic Screen Print Press Operator to join our production team and run our presses efficiently.
Position Summary:
As an Automatic Screen Print Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automatic screen printing presses. You will ensure high-quality prints, manage color matching and registration, and hit production deadlines while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Press Setup & Operation:
Efficiently set up jobs on automatic screen printing presses, including loading screens, registering artwork, mixing inks, and dialing in squeegees and flood bars.
Quality Control:
Continuously monitor print quality, alignment, and ink consistency throughout the run, making adjustments as needed to prevent misprints or defects.
Tear-Down & Cleanup:
Clean screens, squeegees, clamps, and ink wells promptly after a job is completed, returning screens and supplies to their proper areas.
Workflow & Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on press equipment, troubleshoot mechanical or registration issues, and coordinate with the production team to keep jobs moving on schedule.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience operating automatic screen printing presses in a commercial shop environment.
Technical Skill:
Strong understanding of screen print registration, mesh counts, emulsion, ink types (plastisol, water-based, etc.), and proper off-contact settings. Attention to
Detail:
Excellent color-matching abilities and a rigorous eye for quality control.
Reliability & Stamina:
Dependability, strong time-management skills, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30-50 lbs regularly.
Team Player:
Positive attitude and strong communication skills to work effectively with other production staff.
