Responsibilities and Activities Loads and unloads paper rolls or stacks onto the press, ensuring proper alignment and tension. Assists the Press Operator in preparing the press for production, including cleaning, changing plates, and adjusting settings. Monitors and adjusts ink and water levels during the printing process to maintain consistent print quality. Inspects printed materials for defects or inconsistencies, notifying the Press Operator of any issues. Maintains a clean and organized work area, including cleaning the press and surrounding areas. Assists in troubleshooting minor press issues and performing basic maintenance tasks. Follows all safety procedures and protocols within the press room, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Communicates effectively with the Press Operator and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of print jobs. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Press Operator or Supervisor to support the overall production goals. Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Education High school diploma or GED.

Work Experience Manufacturing Experience:

Six months experience as a machine operator or 2 years' experience running production equipment preferred. Prior experience with computers and software-driven mechanical systems preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret job instructions. Ability to work with both computers and mechanical systems. Ability to monitor production equipment for speed and quality. Ability to learn software-driven mechanical systems. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting to 45 pounds intermittently. Comfortable working in a team environment. Knowledge of mechanical operations. Knowledge of production processes.
