401(k) Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance The Assembler candidates will be responsible for the installation of various parts and/or components onto John Deere construction and/or agricultural equipment for the purpose of custom applications such as dozers used in fighting forest fires, excavators for military applications, loaders for landfill or waste transfer stations and agricultural tractors outfitted for right-of-way mowing or power line maintenance. Other key responsibilities Installation of manufactured kits onto new equipment. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures to ensure quality of installation. Ability to follow manufacturer procedures for torquing bolts, hydraulic hoses and fittings. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Basic Qualifications Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year experience in related field. Candidates must be able to read and interpret written and oral work instructions. Candidates must be able to work independently using basic hand tools and air tools. Candidates must have excellent communication skills. Candidates must be able to work alone or in a team concept in order to complete a project. Candidates must be agile with ability to work in awkward positions such as under machines, in tight areas of machines, on top of large machines or while standing on ladders or work platforms. Candidates must have a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems found in heavy equipment. Candidates must be able to work a full-time, 5-days per week 9-hours per shift with overtime as needed. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to provide necessary tools to perform the job duties. Candidates should be able to demonstrate ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
