Job Description

Assembly Technician Job Description The Assembly Technician will work on a steady day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in a growing manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, CA. This role focuses on repetitive, detail-oriented assembly tasks that support automation and control applications. You will work with various materials and tubing, using hand tools and heat equipment to complete precise production work that contributes directly to larger manufacturing and fulfillment operations. Responsibilities Heat materials using a heat gun and apply them accurately to tubing as part of the assembly process. Cut materials with scissors and a razor knife, ensuring clean, precise cuts that meet production specifications. Wrap and heat-shrink materials onto tubing using a heat gun, following detailed work instructions. Install foam components onto assemblies, maintaining consistency and quality across all units. Use hand tools, including allen wrenches and other basic tools, to complete assembly tasks and adjustments. Perform highly repetitive and meticulous work while maintaining focus, accuracy, and quality standards. Stand and sit for extended periods as required by the production schedule and specific tasks. Follow written and verbal instructions in English to complete assembly steps and meet production requirements. Assist with other assembly projects and production tasks as needed to support overall operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment safely in accordance with facility guidelines. Essential Skills Experience with assembly work in a production or manufacturing environment. Proficiency using hand tools such as allen wrenches, scissors, and razor knives. Ability to safely and effectively operate a heat gun for heat shrinking and material processing. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with basic mechanical components and tubing. Comfort performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks with consistent quality and accuracy. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time to meet production demands. Ability to speak and read English to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and careful handling of materials and tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing environments. General mechanically inclined, with an interest in working with tools and equipment. Willingness to assist with a variety of assembly projects beyond core tasks when needed. Reliability and commitment to maintaining steady work output in a growing department. Why Work Here? The environment is production-focused, with a mix of standing and sitting throughout the day and repetitive, detail-oriented tasks. You will regularly use hand tools such as allen wrenches, scissors, razor knives, and heat guns in a manufacturing setting. The position follows a day shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing predictable hours in a focused, small-team atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Ana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
