You will troubleshoot, inspect, and repair units to ensure all finished products meet exact customer specifications and strict quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong mechanical aptitude who thrives in both independent and collaborative hands-on manufacturing settings. This is a full-time, on-site position; remote work is not available.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed sub-assemblies and final assemblies in accordance with drawings, and work instructions. Conduct return evaluations on customer-returned units to diagnose failures, inspect parts, and determine necessary corrective repairs. Perform customer repairs, refurbishments, and component replacements, restoring units to full functionality and original specifications. Document inspection findings, diagnostic results, defect codes, and repair logs to maintain detailed records for quality traceability. Ask supervisors or team leads for clarification whenever assembly drawings or repair procedures require verification. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and orderly work area. Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, OSHA, and environmental standards at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or quality preferred. Minimum 1 to 3 years of proven experience in mechanical assembly, technical troubleshooting, or product repair within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, blueprints, technical drawings, and quality standards. Completion of structured on-the-job training may be considered in place of formal technical education. Skills /
Abilities:
Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, press fit equipment, and measurement devices. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for analyzing customer returns and determining failure root causes. Basic mathematical skills required. Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills using the English language. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Knowledge of and commitment to abiding by OSHA and environmental health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Must be able to work in noisy environments. Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, twisting and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Visual acuity to read assembly prints, instpect small components, and verify tight tolerances.
