Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fiberglass Laminator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating durable fiberglass components through precise lamination processes, ensuring high-quality standards are met at every stage. Responsibilities Prepare molds and work surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying release agents to ensure smooth lamination. Cut and lay fiberglass cloth or matting according to specifications using hand tools and cutting equipment. Mix and apply resin or gel coat with precision, ensuring proper ratios and thorough coverage for optimal curing. Use power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to facilitate efficient lamination and finishing processes. Handle materials safely with proper materials handling techniques, including the use of forklifts and cranes when necessary. Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and surface finish using precision measuring instruments and visual checks. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, and industrial painting. Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments is preferred; familiarity with fiberglass lamination is a plus. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools. Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material mixing ratios. Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including auto body repair, auto painting, and airless paint spraying. Experience with materials handling, assembly processes, and the use of precision measuring instruments. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
