We are seeking candidates for a Mattress Assembler position at our facility in Lakeland, FL .

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assembling mattresses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and interpret daily schedules Responsible for maintaining quality service and producing a quality product through close attention to detail in accordance with product specifications and delivery requirements. Performs duties safely and maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with established policies and procedures. Report any safety hazards, work injuries or building and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel. Maintains a culture that supports team work, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

At least 1 year of related work in manufacturing,preferred. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task according to daily schedule. Must be able to read and comprehend required documents, such as safety rules, operating procedures, schedules and instructions. Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of operation of special equipment such as hand truck and moving equipment, and assorted hand tools.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Work requires standing approximately 75% of the time, walking and moving around the facility 25% of the time. Job duties require occasionally lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs. Must occasionally push and pull up to 100 lbs. When practical, assistance, special lifting and moving equipment should be utilized. Job responsibilities require frequent reaching with hands and arms and moving around the production areas. Manual dexterity is needed for handling materials and adjusting controls. Normal visual, hearing and speaking abilities are required by this job. Must follow safety precautions and use personal protective equipment when needed, such as close toe shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves. Moderate noise associated with a typical manufacturing work environment.
