Overview The Glass Fabricator is responsible for cutting, fabricating, polishing, processing, and preparing glass products according to work orders, measurements, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, organized, and experienced in handling glass fabrication equipment and materials. Key ResponsibilitiesGlass Fabrication & Production Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and fabrication specifications. Measure, cut, polish, drill, notch, and fabricate glass accurately.
Operate fabrication machinery including:
Cutting tables Polishers CNC machines Waterjets Tempering equipment Drill presses Edge machines Verify glass dimensions, hole placements, cutouts, and fabrication details before processing. Inspect finished products for defects, scratches, chips, and quality issues. Apply labels, tempering stamps, and identification tags as required. Assist with packaging and preparing orders for delivery or pickup. Quality Control Ensure all fabricated glass meets company quality standards. Double-check measurements before processing. Report defective materials, fabrication issues, or machinery concerns immediately. Maintain organized workstations to prevent glass damage and production errors. Qualifications Required Experience in glass fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred. Ability to read tape measures and understand fractional measurements. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to lift 50-100 lbs with assistance when required. Ability to stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Experience with frameless shower glass fabrication. CNC and waterjet experience. Tempered glass and laminated glass knowledge. Forklift experience. Ability to read fabrication drawings and CAD layouts. Problem-solving skills. Mechanical aptitude. Team-oriented mindset. Ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
