Sun Electronic Systems in Titusville, FL is seeking a Electronics Soldering Technician. Sun Systems manufactures lightweight and affordable professional ramp testers for performing accurate functional checks of avionics equipment along with manufacturing ATE Process & Temperature Controllers and Temperature Test Chamber. In this role, job responsibilities include:

• Perform component prep, hand soldering, and rework of PCB assemblies with complex through-hole and surface mount components including wires and terminals utilizing hand tools, microscope, soldering iron, hot air, and bottom-side heater to remove, install, align, and straighten parts.
• Ability to identify different surface mount components
• Perform cable and harness assembly, soldering, and rework meeting Class 3 requirements IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and

IPC-7711/7721

• Remove/apply conformal coating and epoxies as required
• Read, interpret, and follow assembly work instructions, drawings and bill of materials
• Follow written and verbal instruction This is a full-time position. Essential job functions (Including % Time for Each) 80%
• Solder Electronics 20%

• Assembly Requirements:

• Candidates must have previous work experience in soldering and assembly.
• US Citizenship required.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or technical degree equivalent.

• Experience with soldering equipment and ESD sensitive devices.
• Ability to perform hand-intensive repetitive work.
• Punctual and cleanliness in the work area. $16
• 18/hour based on experience and initial 30 day probation
