Job Purpose /

Summary:

The Assembler is responsible for assembling winches and related components accurately, efficiently, and safely to meet production schedules and quality standards. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications while supporting daily production needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble winches and related components according to work instructions, drawings, bills of material, and production requirements.
• Install gears, bushings, bearings, seals, shafts, housing, and other mechanical components with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Inspect parts and subassemblies during the assembly process to verify fit, function, and conformance to quality standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment safely and effectively during assembly operations.
• Operate hydraulic press and other assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• At times, assist with operating other machines or equipment to support production flow and meet scheduling demands.
• Identify and report part discrepancies, quality concerns, damaged components, or assembly issues to the supervisor or appropriate personnel.
• Maintain organized work areas, proper part staging, and accurate handling of components throughout the assembly process.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineering, quality, and other production team members to resolve assembly or product issues.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, housekeeping expectations, and company policies.
• Visual acuity to read blueprints, inspect parts, monitor machine operation, and identify dimensional or surface defects.

Qualification Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred, especially in a mechanical or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how components fit and function together.
• High attention to detail with the ability to assemble products accurately and consistently.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and basic blueprints.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and small shop equipment.
• Willingness and ability to run other machines or equipment as needed to support production.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and dependable attendance.

Pay:

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
