Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Construction Assembly Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and cutting components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to the production of high-quality industrial equipment, supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation. Description Northwest Building Components was founded in 2004 and serves the Inland Northwest as the premier truss builder in the area. We are sought after by the best of the best in the building industry and are trusted to produce high quality trusses for projects of all sizes. While we are locally managed and operated, we have the privilege of being part of the Kodiak Building Partners portfolio of companies ( now QXO ). We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Associate to join our team. Production Associates could be assigned to a variety of tasks related to the production of trusses, including but not limited to:
Lifting, carrying, loading, offloading, organizing, banding, and stacking lumber or trusses
Pulling plates, picking lumber, feeding saws or presses
Building trusses using hammer or powered hand tools
QC trusses by visual inspection or with tape measure
Keeping work area tidy by clearing scrap, sawdust, nails, using basic cleaning tools and solutions, perform basic machine maintenance Production Associates should have these essential skills:
Accurately read tape measure, truss layouts, and stacking orders
Use a banding tool, hammer, powered hand tools, and specialty truss equipment (such as saws or presses)
Wear Personal Protective Equipment such as work boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and high-visibility clothing as required
Communicate effectively and work well in a fast-paced team environment Production Associates must have the following physical abilities:
Regularly lift, carry, push and/or pull loads up to 75lb
Frequently climb and descend a 3ft table
Repeatedly/Constantly swing a hammer and use powered hand tools (staple gun, nail gun)
Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
