Assembler $16/HR Job Description This role focuses on assembling wood boxes and related packaging components according to customer specifications for major industrial clients. You will use hand and power tools, follow written and verbal instructions, and contribute to a clean, fast-paced production environment with steady work and opportunities for internal growth. Responsibilities

+ Assemble wood boxes and related packaging products according to customer-prescribed specifications and quality standards.

+ Use hand tools and power tools, including tape measures and pneumatic nail guns, to complete assembly tasks safely and accurately.

+ Read and interpret written instructions, drawings, or work orders to ensure correct measurements and assembly sequences.

+ Measure materials accurately using a tape measure and mark cutting or fastening points as required.

+ Operate pneumatic nail guns, band cutters, banders, and other shop tools to assemble and secure materials.

+ Lift, move, and position materials and assembled products weighing up to approximately 40 pounds as part of daily tasks.

+ Stand for extended periods while performing assembly, cutting, and fastening operations on the production floor.

+ Follow verbal instructions from supervisors or leads to adjust priorities, address special orders, or resolve production issues.

+ Complete productivity sheets and shipping tags legibly to document output, track orders, and support shipping and inventory processes.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, including safe storage and handling of tools and materials.

+ Follow all safety procedures when using cutters, saws, nail guns, and other equipment to minimize risk of injury.

+ Collaborate with team members and support a consistent production flow to meet customer deadlines and volume requirements.

+ Adapt to overtime needs when required to support increased production demands. Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for measuring materials and verifying dimensions.

+ Ability to stand for extended periods while performing assembly and production tasks.

+ Ability to lift approximately 40 pounds repeatedly and safely during the workday.

+ Experience operating or willingness to learn operation of pneumatic nail guns weighing between approximately 2 and 14 pounds.

+ Ability to follow written instructions, including work orders and specification sheets, with attention to detail.

+ Ability to follow verbal instructions clearly and consistently in a production environment.

+ Basic proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in assembly or general labor roles.

+ Ability to fill out productivity sheets and shipping tags legibly to support production tracking and shipping accuracy.

+ Comfort working in a shop environment with noise from cutters, saws, and nail guns. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior experience in assembly, general labor, or manufacturing environments.

+ Familiarity with band cutters, banders, and related packaging tools.

+ Experience working with wood products, crates, or industrial packaging.

+ Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic in shift-based roles.
