Full Job Description Summary:
Working under the immediate supervision of the Production Supervisor and following verbal or written instructions, this role performs repetitive light assembly duties involving mechanical assembly and/or the preparation of wire and cable for further fabrication of assemblies. Completes kitting, assembly, and packaging processes according to established operating procedures. •We are an ITAR facility and hire only US persons who are defined as US citizens or green card holders.•Expectations of the Assembler - Level 1: Works on assembly line as a team member, performing various mechanical tasks as production parts move along the line. Reads, understands, and interprets blueprints, work instructions, and other written or verbal instructions to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards. Uses a variety of hand and power tools appropriately to complete mechanical assembly of components or products. Prepares products and other items for shipment. Counts, measures, and cuts wire/cable. Labels, strips, and tins wire/cable. Crimps wire/cable. Visually inspects products for non-conformances during the manufacturing process and is accountable for product quality. May be required to operate automatic and semi-automatic machines, such as, but not limited to, drill presses, grinders, ribbon strippers, and printing equipment. Cleans parts and sub-assemblies using designated cleaning equipment or by dipping into approved cleaning solvents. Complies with all safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work station. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. This position description is intended to guide the activities of the Assembly Operator. Spanish Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent Previous electronics manufacturing experience a plus Soldering experience strongly desired Experience with computers preferred Specific vision reqirements include close vision and color vision
Certification:
Must be able to complete Level 1 IPC requirements per KSM Employee Devleopment Program 5.0
