Job Description

Primary Duty:
The Welder Fabricator's main function is to cut, punch, and drill parts according to the print and then weld them together.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reads a tape measure. 2. Ability to interpret shop drawings. 3. Cuts, punches, and drills material precisely. 4. Keeps work area clean. 5. Lifts heavy objects. 6. Operates a forklift and overhead crane. 7. Setup, run, and maintain welder machine. 8. Able to operate various hand tools. 9. Works with Fabricator to determine what parts are needed and when. 10. Follows directions. 11. Performs other duties, as required by the company.

1. Strong math and problem-solving skills. 2. Ability to address situations as they arise and respond intuitively with accuracy and integrity. 3. Continuous learning style and ability. 4. Ability to present an overall professional image. 5. Ability to communicate effectively in a friendly and efficient manner with vendors, employees, and other company contacts. 6. Ability to effectively welcome and embrace differences among employees and vendors. 7. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of others. 8. Must be able to clearly speak, read, and write in the English language. 9. Knowledge of the different products produced by the company. 10. Knowledge of materials used. 11. Ability to identify any quality issues or defects in materials. 12. Must be able to read and understand shop drawings. 13. Must be able to operate a forklift. Are you a little light on welding experience?
