Job Description

PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the Asheville area.

POSITIONS WILL WORK IN FAIRVIEW AND WILL MOVE TO ARDEN, NC IN THE FUTURE.

We are hiring for an Assembly Operator III -

Fiber Optics Shift:

2nd Shift | 3:00PM-11:30

PM Pay Rate:

$24.40/HR ($22.00 base pay plus 10% differential)

Assembly Operator Summary:

Assemble, terminate, test and package fiber optic cable assemblies Work directly with fiber optic connectors and cables in a clean room Support production and development of new and existing optical products Utilize measuring devices and inspection techniques to ensure quality standards are met Troubleshoot equipment, maintain product traceability, and support continuous improvement initiatives

Assembly Operator Responsibilities:

Polish assemble, terminate and test fiber optic cable assemblies and connectors Operate fiber routing, over-molding and other production equipment as needed Measure components using calipers, gauges and other precision measuring devices Maintain product traceability and complete required production documentation Inspect finished products using quality standards, engineering drawings and work instructions Support prototype builds, test builds and new product introduction (NIP) activities

Requirements:

HS Diploma or GED preferred Ability to distinguish between color-coded fiber optic cables Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience required Ability to work with small parts under a microscope in a clean room environment Ability to work in clean room environment while wearing required PPE, including gowns, shoe covers, hair nets, gloves, safety glasses and safety shoes Why PROMAN Staffing ?
