  • Modify and fit parts as needed, using manual mills, lathes, drill presses, band saws, abrasive saws, and hand or belt sanders (full machine shop access provided)
  • Flag and rework parts that don't perform as expected during assembly, looping in engineering as needed
  • Route cables and airlines to match schematics and keep the finished machine clean and professional-looking
  • Partner with engineers to suggest design and functionality improvements
  • Troubleshoot machines once assembly and wiring are complete
  • Help coordinate scheduling and task assignments for other assembly and electro-mechanical techs What You Bring

  • Comfort with basic hand and power tools
  • Machine shop background, including manual mills and lathes

  • Basic computer skills — CAD experience is helpful but not required, and Norwalt trains on our own in-house software
  • A valid driver's license Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs, including from below waist height to overhead
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs for extended periods — sometimes over long distances — as part of daily shop work About Norwalt Since 1971, Norwalt Design Inc.
