Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will help ensure the quality and precision of our metal products, supporting various manufacturing projects. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding to join metal components securely. Operate plasma cutters, gas metal arc welding equipment, and other fabrication machinery to produce precise parts. Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math skills to ensure proper fit and finish. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools, equipment, and materials on the shop floor or construction sites. Assemble fabricated parts into finished products or structures in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. Skills Extensive experience with construction site environments and fabrication shop settings. Proficiency in reading blueprints, mechanical blueprints interpretation, and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and stick welding. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for accurate fabrication. Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, machining operations, plasma cutting, and fabrication shop practices. Familiarity with safety protocols specific to welding operations and construction environments. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, power saws, drills, grinders, and other fabrication equipment efficiently. Understanding of basic math concepts necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks. Experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints aligned with American Welding Society (AWS) standards or equivalent industry codes. Knowledge of mechanical fabrication principles including shop math and metalworking techniques for high-quality production outcomes.
