The Designer Stone Company, located in Port Washington, Ohio, is looking for a Shop Operator to join our team. Starting Wage for a Shop Operator is $21 per hour with 8 scheduled increases! Duties include, but are not limited to: Fabricate stone countertops utilizing equipment, including, but not limited to saw jet, grinders, polishers, etc. for project completion. Accurately operate controls of machines to ensure correct cuts/routes to specifications Operate hand grinders, wet polishers, and pads to shape edges, blend seams, and create a quality finish Must be able to identify and troubleshoot fabricating issues Perform quality inspection of finished products Ensure cleanliness of work area Providing professional, courteous service for our customers as well as our team members in the shop/showroom environments Work within a team setting Follow/execute work orders to meet deadlines with minimal supervision Ensure safety of self and team members by following work rules and procedures Based on work schedule, perform other duties as assigned/directed to provide coverage in various areas of the business when needed such as polishing, moving inventory, etc.

Requirements:

Valid Driver's license with clear driving record Must have the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with team members (Both verbally and in writing) Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75-100lbs, utilizing team lift and other tools as appropriate Stand, walk, move squat or climb for long periods of time 1-3 years' experience in stone fabrication preferred Experience operating heavy equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) preferred Must be at least 18yrs old

Work Hours:

7AM- 3:30PM, Monday - Friday. Overtime (including Saturdays) may be required based on business needs. •
