WCR is a manufacturer and service provider of heat exchanger solutions. The company specializes in the design, manufacturing, and service of plates and gaskets for all makes and models of plate heat exchangers (PHE). These PHEs offer our clients high reliability of heat transfer, low capital investment and installation costs, reducing maintenance, operating costs, wear, and corrosion.
Job Summary:
The New Unit Assembler is responsible for the safe and efficient assembly, testing, and preparation of heat exchanger units in accordance with engineering drawings, job documentation, and quality standards. The Assembler is also responsible for maintaining accurate production records, troubleshooting equipment and product issues, supporting preventive maintenance activities, operating material handling equipment safely, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Able to read provided job documentation including assembly drawings.
Identify and pull parts for jobs. Accurately identify frame components.
Accurately cut threaded rod to length per job documentation.
Accurately cut and fold shrouds using power tools and other equipment.
Operate press to lock the nut on the threaded rod to manufacture tie rods.
Operate hydraulic press to press in liners.
Ability to assemble frames, independently or with a team.
Load heat exchanger plates and close the unit using power tools or hydraulic equipment to dimension per provided job documentation.
Troubleshoot leaks on heat exchangers, alignment issues, and any other defects.
Communicate to leads and Managers issues that arise.
Perform hydrostatic test and attach name plates on units.
Keep accurate documentation of product and movement.
Participate in all equipment PM's, repairs, tasks and tests.
Diagnose equipment/product issues and determine proper solutions.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and shop.
Promptly communicate any inventory-related issues to the relevant parties.
Proficiently operate forklifts and cranes in compliance with safety standards.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in operating forklifts, standup forklifts, and cranes.
Strong mechanical ability and trouble shooting.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to use computer systems.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and machinery controls.
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping may be required.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing/production floor environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machining fluids.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Work Status:
Full Time - Work hours are Monday through Friday with flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Non-Exempt Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
