Job Description

About the Role As a Metal Fabrication Technician, you will play a vital role in our production cycle by transforming raw sheet metal into precise components. You will leverage your technical expertise in machine operation and blueprint interpretation to ensure every part meets rigorous quality standards, contributing directly to the efficiency and output of our manufacturing floor. Responsibilities Configure and operate advanced press brake machinery to achieve precise bends and complex metal forms. Interpret technical blueprints and process sheets to ensure finished components align with exact design tolerances. Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify part accuracy throughout the production run. Maintain a high-standard, organized workspace while coordinating with team members to ensure seamless production handoffs. Perform routine machine troubleshooting and tooling adjustments to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime. Apply shop math skills to calculate bend deductions and machine parameters for high-quality outcomes. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience operating press brake equipment in a professional fabrication or manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T principles. Proficiency with precision inspection tools and standard shop measuring instruments. Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maintain physical stamina during shifts. Commitment to rigorous safety protocols and consistent use of required personal protective equipment. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with CNC programming and software such as TruTops or similar control interfaces. Familiarity with major press brake brands like Amada, Trumpf, or Mitsubishi. Valid certification for forklift operation or overhead crane handling. Prior experience with secondary fabrication tasks such as assembly or tooling maintenance.
