Job Description

Part-Time Assembly Technician Silient LLC Charleston, SC Job Details Part-time $24 - $27 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Attention to detail
Full Job Description Pay:
$24-27/hour depending on experience
Schedule:
Part-time, 20 hours/week — Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Location:
On-site at our warehouse — 1301 Charleston Regional Parkway, Charleston, SC 29492 (Clements Ferry) Reports to: Tony Campagna, Warehouse & Technical Lead What we do SILIENT builds commercial cold-therapy equipment — the chiller systems and cold showers behind cold plunges at gyms, spas, sauna studios, and athletic facilities across the country. Every unit is assembled and tested by hand in our Charleston warehouse before it ships. We're a small team, so the person in this role will see the whole product come together, not one station on a line. What you'll do You'll work alongside Tony to build, test, and ship our units. Most of the day is detailed assembly: mounting chillers and tanks, running and crimping wiring, connecting plumbing fittings, installing controllers and circuit boards, then powering units up and running them through QA before they're crated. The rest is keeping the warehouse running — receiving parts, organizing inventory, keeping the shop clean and safe, and helping stage ~1,000 lb crates for freight pickup. Nobody starts here knowing our product. Tony will teach you the build. What we can't teach is curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to figure out why something isn't working. Who we're looking for We care more about how you think than what's on your resume. The best fit is someone who: Is sharp, curious, and likes understanding how things work Is careful — follows a procedure exactly, notices when something looks wrong, and says so Has some hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, or electronics (hobby, trade school, a job, or fixing things at home all count — none of it is required) Is comfortable with physical work: standing most of the shift and lifting up to 75 lbs Is dependable and shows up on time, every morning This is a great fit for a college or trade-school student (CofC, Trident Tech, The Citadel) with free mornings who wants real hands-on engineering and manufacturing experience. Strong performers who want more hours as we grow will have that opportunity. How to apply Apply here on Indeed, or email with the subject line "Assembly Technician". Either way, include (1) a resume or a short summary of your background and availability, and (2) a few paragraphs describing something you built, fixed, or figured out. It can be anything — a car, a computer, a piece of furniture, a science project. Tell us what the problem was, how you approached it, and what you'd do differently. We read every application and reply to everyone.
