Job Description

Assembly Mechanic (AM) will be responsible for the in-shop assembly of new construction pumps. Additionally, the AM will assist with inventory-related assignments as well as general shop-related duties, including clean up and building maintenance. The AM may be called on to assist with field service-related projects in the shop, and on rare occasions, assist a service mechanic in the field.
  • Follow established health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain your personal work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Use safe work practices to eliminate hazards.
  • Assembly and Disassembly of pumps in shop.
  • Completion of comprehensive inspections of pumps and components.
  • Identification of the cause(s) of mechanical/electrical pump failures & recommend corrective action.
  • Daily maintenance of department's equipment and tools.
  • Responsible for paint prep, masking with tape areas to protect from the application of paint.
  • Record and monitor each order's labor and material.
  • Ensure and control safety and quality assurance at all times.
  • Inventory functions, to include stocking, pulling parts, and conducting inventory audits under direction.
  • May be required to assist service mechanics in field repair.
  • Be environmentally conscious of work environment.
  • Adhere to inventory control and other company procedures as applicable.
  • Professional conduct at all times.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
  • Support '27 strategy, including Win in the US initiatives.
  • Act reasonably to avoid hurting themselves and others.
  • Perform the job in a way that meets all applicable laws, regulations and EHS requirements.
  • Report immediately all hazards / incidents to their direct Manager/Supervisor, or Site EHS Representative (or designee) after realizing a work-related event has occurred.
  • Exercise their freedom and ability to identify areas for improvement and to initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to EHS related issues.
  • Complete all required EHS training courses.
  • Comply with the Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System requirements.
  • Follow environmental procedures related to waste disposal, spill response, and material handling.
  • Properly segregate and label waste (hazardous, recyclable, general).
  • Report environmental incidents (spills, leaks, unusual emissions) immediately.
  • Use materials efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Participate in environmental training and toolbox talks.
  • Shut down equipment properly to reduce energy and water use.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
