Sat Sun | 6:00 PM6:00 AM | $17.50/hr Position Summary The Assembler I, General position is an entry-level manufacturing role responsible for supporting the preparation, assembly, and production of medical devices and related products. Under direct supervision, employees are trained to perform manufacturing duties in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and applicable FDA, OSHA, environmental, quality, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform production and assembly activities according to established procedures and work instructions. Develop a basic understanding of assigned production processes and manufacturing equipment. Follow all GMPs, SOPs, quality standards, and safety procedures. Safely transport materials of varying weights using approved material-handling equipment and assistance when required. Operate manufacturing equipment, tools, hand trucks, and pallet jacks as trained and authorized. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with site safety requirements. Identify and report workplace hazards, spills, accidents, near misses, equipment concerns, and other safety issues. Properly handle, label, and store materials and chemicals according to established procedures. Complete all required regulatory and safety training, including
GMP, ISO
14001, OSHA, and other assigned programs. Successfully complete the Operator Training Program according to established guidelines. Monitor personal work practices and support safe behaviors among team members. Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process and promptly report potential quality concerns. Participate in continuous-improvement efforts to simplify or improve products, processes, systems, and services. Assist with additional projects and assignments as requested by management. Must be available to work overtime as needed. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 4 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read, write, and understand basic English preferred. Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements. Ability to work effectively in a structured manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Experience Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience. Experience operating manufacturing equipment, basic hand tools, hand trucks, or pallet jacks. Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to follow multi-step procedures consistently. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
