Full Job Description Day Shift:
6AM-4:30
PM Job Summary:
The Fabricator Level 1-3 performs entry-level -to experienced fabrication tasks under direct supervision. This role focuses on safety, basic blueprint reading, measuring and layout, material preparation, and assisting with fit-up operations in accordance with NCCER-aligned craft standards and CSFCO procedures. We are currently looking for all levels of Fabricators including those with pipe experience. Must be willing to help with all things in the Fabricator shop, unloading material, sweeping, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Follow all CSFCO safety policies and job hazard analyses. Assist with material staging, handling, and housekeeping. Perform basic measuring, marking, and layout. Assist with cutting, grinding, beveling, and edge preparation. Support fit-up activities including clamping and alignment. Report drawing discrepancies or safety concerns to supervision.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic tape measure reading (to 1/16"). Understanding of basic blueprint components. Knowledge of common steel shapes and materials. Safe use of hand and power tools. Understanding of basic fabrication math and measurements. Commitment to safety and quality standards (NCCER Core principles). Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties. English proficiency is required due to operational and safety communication needs.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred. 2-10+ years of fabrication or related industrial experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments. Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy conditions. Must be able to wear required
