Pipe Assembly Technician

Job Description

Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking Pipe Assembly Technicians for long-term work at a pipe fabrication shop in the DFW area. This is a hands-on mechanical position responsible for assembling fabricated piping components, installing gaskets and hardware, performing flange bolt-up, and torquing connections to specification . Previous pipe fabrication experience is helpful, but it is not required . Candidates with backgrounds in construction, automotive or diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or other hands-on trades may be a good fit for this position. Key Responsibilities Assemble fabricated piping components and pipe assemblies Perform flange bolt-up on piping connections Install gaskets, bolts, nuts, and other assembly hardware Align flanges and piping components prior to assembly Tighten and torque connections to required specifications Follow proper bolt patterns and torque sequences Use impact wrenches, torque wrenches, sockets, and standard hand tools Verify proper alignment and gasket placement before final torque Inspect components and hardware prior to assembly Move and position piping components as needed Follow drawings, specifications, and work instructions Inspect completed assemblies for proper installation and quality Work closely with production and quality control personnel Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all shop safety and quality procedures Qualifications Previous experience in construction, mechanical work, automotive or diesel repair, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, pipe assembly, bolt-up, or a similar hands-on field Strong mechanical aptitude Comfortable working with hand and power tools Experience with impact wrenches, torque wrenches, sockets, and similar tools preferred Ability to follow instructions and established assembly procedures Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to perform repetitive mechanical assembly tasks Ability to lift, move, and position materials as required Comfortable working in an active industrial fabrication shop Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled overtime Pipe fabrication or industrial bolt-up experience is preferred, but not required Pay & Schedule $26.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience No per diem 60 hours per week Monday through Saturday 10-hour shifts Long-term opportunity
