POSITION SUMMARY
The Line Worker is a vital member of the production team, responsible for performing various manual tasks involved in the preparation, processing, packaging, and inspection of products. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective collaboration with team members to meet production targets.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handle raw materials and perform tasks such as defrosting, hooking, hanging, racking, cutting, stuffing, weighing, scaling, labeling, boxing, and palletizing
  • Load and unload materials onto racks, carts, and conveyors
  • Move products between different temperature areas using carts or racks
  • Prepare products for vacuum processing and packaging
  • Inspect product for quality and consistency, ensuring company standards are met
  • Report any defects or issues with materials, products, or equipment to the supervisor
  • Follow all food safety guidelines, including HACCP, USDA, and FDA regulations
  • Assist with Sanitation processes as needed
  • Record production data, such as product counts and weights if applicable
  • Communicate effectively with line leads, supervisors, and other team members about production or challenges
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Preferred experience in food processing or manufacturing
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (training provided)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Flexible schedule required to support operational and production needs, including overtime and weekend work as needed
  • Must comply with all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and employee handbook expectations
  • Must be able to understand and communicate work instructions, safety procedures, and operational expectations in English or Spanish
CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Working in cold or hot environments, as well as handling meat products.
  • Various PPE are required in different areas of plant.
  • Ability to lift items up to 60lbs regularly
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay:
