Formulate and implement tactical plans to boost profitability, productivity, delivery, quality, and safety outcomes. Supervise day-to-day thermal processing tasks to guarantee that quality benchmarks, production timelines, and client needs are fulfilled. Spearhead initiatives for operational excellence by applying Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other improvement frameworks. Track and maintain essential metrics regarding profitability, downtime, scrap, throughput, quality, and safety. Manage the development of the workforce, including performance reviews, succession planning, and strategic staffing. Engage with clients to resolve technical issues, improve processes, and identify potential new business avenues. Guarantee adherence to all safety, environmental, industry, and customer-mandated regulations. Supervise facility enhancements, equipment upgrades, and various capital expenditure programs. Work alongside quality and engineering departments to refine metallurgical results and optimize heat treatment cycles. Analyze operational costs, labor efficiency, and financial budgets to ensure the company meets its fiscal goals. Cultivate a workplace environment that prioritizes teamwork, safety, professional accountability, and ongoing improvement. Essential Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical discipline. Over a decade of experience in industrial leadership within sectors like machining, casting, forging, heat treating, or metal processing. At least five years of experience in a high-level management position with complete oversight of profit and loss. Comprehensive understanding of thermal processing equipment, material characteristics, and metallurgical principles. Practical background in thermal operations such as vacuum heat treating, tempering, normalizing, annealing, induction hardening, or carburizing. Demonstrated capacity to manage substantial manufacturing workforces and foster significant operational advancements. Solid grasp of continuous improvement techniques, customer requirements, and robust quality management systems. Outstanding decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities. Desired Qualifications Advanced training or a degree focused on Materials Science or Metallurgy. Background working with clients in the defense, aerospace, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing sectors. Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Familiarity with quality standards such as
IATF 16949, ISO
9001, CQI-9, or NADCAP. Proven track record of successfully overseeing manufacturing operations across multiple shifts. Strong financial expertise, including experience with capital investment management, forecasting, and budgeting.
