About Us We are a a custom fabrication company specializing in experiential marketing environments, trade show exhibits, commercial millwork, custom cabinetry, branded environments, scenic fabrication, and one-of-a-kind projects. No two weeks are the same. One week we're building a custom corporate lobby. The next we're fabricating an activation for a national brand. Then we're loading scenic elements onto a cruise ship or building displays seen by millions of people. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building things, leading people, solving problems, and making a shop run like a well-oiled machine. About the Role As our PDirector of Manufacturing, you'll oversee every project once it's sold. Your job is to make sure every project leaves our shop on time, on budget, and at a quality level that makes our customers want to work with us again. You'll lead department heads across: CNC & Machining Fabrication Finishing Final Assembly Shipping & Logistics You'll coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Design, and Purchasing while owning the production schedule and helping eliminate bottlenecks before they become emergencies. You won't be expected to chase customers for money. You won't be writing estimates. You won't be managing QuickBooks. You won't be worrying about payroll or where the next project comes from. Your job is to build an incredible production organization. What You'll Be Responsible For Leading the production team and department heads Scheduling labor and balancing shop capacity Creating efficient production workflows Improving productivity without sacrificing quality Coaching and developing employees Conducting daily production meetings Monitoring project progress and identifying risks early Working with project managers to ensure successful handoffs Improving SOPs and documenting best practices Driving continuous improvement throughout the shop Maintaining a safe, clean, organized production environment Ensuring every project ships complete, accurate, and on time The Person We're Looking For You probably have experience such as: Owner of a cabinet or millwork shop Former business owner in fabrication or construction Production Manager or Operations Manager General Manager of a manufacturing business Shop Foreman who naturally became the leader everyone relied on You've likely managed anywhere from 10-50 employees. You understand scheduling, purchasing, quality control, production flow, and accountability. You don't panic when something goes sideways—you organize people, solve the problem, and move forward. You know how to earn respect without yelling. You enjoy mentoring people. You hate wasted motion. You believe systems beat heroics. Most importantly, you care about building something you're proud to put your name on. What Success Looks Like Within your first year, you'll have: Built a highly accountable production culture Improved efficiency throughout the shop Reduced costly mistakes and rework Increased on-time deliveries Developed stronger department leaders Created systems that allow the business to scale Helped make Breakthrough Productions one of the premier fabrication shops in the industry What You'll Need Leadership experience in manufacturing, fabrication, millwork, cabinetry, exhibits, construction, or similar industries Strong understanding of production scheduling Experience managing multiple concurrent projects Ability to read shop drawings and understand fabrication methods Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong organizational skills Continuous improvement mindset Experience with custom fabrication, CNC manufacturing, architectural millwork, cabinetry, scenic fabrication, or experiential marketing is a significant advantage.
