Job Description:
Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a global Fortune 500 organization to identify a Plant Manager for a medical device manufacturing operation in the Greater Albany area. This is a highly visible transformation opportunity for an accomplished manufacturing leader to guide the site through its next phase of operational maturity. The facility manufactures complex, highly engineered components and finished devices for leading medical and pharmaceutical organizations, utilizing advanced capabilities across extrusion, specialty injection molding, medical balloon fabrication, additive manufacturing, and complex catheter and device assembly. The Plant Manager will have full responsibility for site performance and will play a critical role in aligning the operation with the broader organization's world-class safety, quality, and manufacturing standards. This leader will be tasked with strengthening the site's operating structure, developing frontline leadership, establishing greater accountability, and embedding disciplined processes and continuous improvement practices across the facility. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on transformation leader who can bring structure, consistency, and operational rigor to the site while building trust across the workforce and delivering sustained improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Applies specialized professional knowledge about theoretical concepts and principles within own field; is a sought after thought partner. Acts as advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the business/processes in the market. Guides and prioritizes the activities of individual contributors accountable for similar responsibilities and performing moderately diverse activities. Works independently and receives minimal guidance; contributes to and executes business, functional or product strategies. Impact of work reflects directly on the overall team for quality of process execution and responsiveness to business needs. Operates with latitude for action and decision-making; uses judgment to make decisions that affect own area of responsibility within the business/function. Solves technical or operational problems (with or without vague/unstructured aspects); takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree required. Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred. Minimum 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, or continuous improvement. Minimum 2 years of direct people leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading Operational Excellence / Lean daily management and applying Lean / Six Sigma tools with measurable, sustained results preferred Proven ability to partner with cross functional shared resources (EHS, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and CI/OpEx) to prioritize, resource, and execute improvements that strengthen customer outcomes and business performance. Strong working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
