Exempt, Full-Time Job Description Position Summary Origin Ductwork is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Hadley, PA facility. This role owns manufacturing performance, safety, quality, and workforce leadership for ductwork fabrication and installation support, and serves as the on-site operational leader responsible for translating company goals into shop-floor execution. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations
  • Own daily production scheduling, throughput, and on-time delivery for ductwork fabrication.
  • Manage capacity planning across fabrication, welding, and assembly to meet sales and project commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in fabrication processes, workflow layout, and equipment utilization.
  • Partner with engineering and sales on order intake, approval drawings, and production feasibility. Quality & Safety
  • Enforce quality control standards and inspection processes (fit, weld quality, hardware completeness, dimensional accuracy).
  • Maintain and improve the facility's safety program; lead incident investigation and corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support quality issue tracking and root-cause resolution for recurring field or shop defects. People Leadership
  • Directly supervise production supervisors, leads, and shop floor staff (headcount to be defined by facility size).
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop production talent; manage performance and disciplinary actions.
  • Build a strong shift/shop culture around accountability, safety, and craftsmanship. Financial & Reporting
  • Manage plant labor, materials, and overhead costs against budget.
  • Report production KPIs (throughput, scrap/rework, on-time %, safety incidents, labor efficiency) to leadership.
  • Identify and execute cost-reduction and productivity initiatives. Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with Imperial Systems and Imperial Filtration operations leadership on shared resources, standards, and best practices across facilities.
  • Work with HR on staffing plans, hiring, and workforce development.
  • Support facility improvements and equipment procurement planning. Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of manufacturing management experience, ideally in metal fabrication, sheet metal, ductwork, or a related industrial products environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing production schedules, quality systems, and a hands-on shop floor team.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety compliance (OSHA) in a fabrication/welding environment.
  • Proven people-management skills, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Comfort working directly on the shop floor, not just from an office.
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, etc.) or Business discipline (Operations Management, Business Administration, etc.). Preferred
  • Experience in HVAC, dust collection, industrial ventilation, or ductwork fabrication specifically.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with production/ERP scheduling systems.
  • Blueprint and fabrication drawing literacy. Compensation
  • Base salary: $90,000+ commensurate with experience and directly relevant fabrication/ductwork background. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work on an active manufacturing floor, including exposure to noise, welding operations, and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
