Job Description

The Company Our client is a well-established, privately held food manufacturer with a strong regional and national retail and foodservice presence. They've built a reputation on quality, consistency, and taking care of their people. They're looking for a Plant Manager who can lead a mature operation into its next phase of growth while protecting the culture that got them here. The Role The Plant Manager owns total site performance: safety, food safety, quality, production, people, and cost. You'll lead a multi-shift operation, report directly to senior leadership, and be the face of the plant to your team every day. This is a hands-on role. The right person is on the floor, not hiding in an office. What You'll Do Lead all plant operations across production, sanitation, maintenance, QA, and warehouse Own the safety culture and drive toward zero incidents Maintain full regulatory, food safety, and customer audit compliance Hit targets on throughput, yield, labor efficiency, and cost Build and develop a strong bench of supervisors and managers Drive continuous improvement through Lean, 5S, and root cause problem solving Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and R D on new product launches and capacity planning Manage the plant budget and capital projects Be visible, approachable, and trusted by the hourly workforce What You Bring 7+ years of manufacturing leadership, with 3+ years running a plant or as an Operations Manager Food manufacturing experience in a USDA and/or FDA regulated environment required Strong working knowledge of HACCP, SQF or other GFSI schemes, and GMPs A track record of improving safety, yield, and cost with real P&L accountability Experience leading a diverse, multi-shift hourly workforce Lean or CI background (Green Belt or higher a plus) Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Who Thrives Here Someone who fits a close-knit, people-first culture.
