Role:

Kalmbach Feeds Production Manager is a highly responsible position with a primary emphasis on on-time shipments, safety and quality. You will ensure materials, supplies and equipment is readily and continuously available for workers to carry out production processes. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with maintenance, process improvements, capital projects and other production related activities in conjunction with the Plant Manager. As unique situations present themselves, the selected candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, team member goodwill and public image.

Primary Responsibilities:

You are responsible for the safe, cost effective and efficient production of the manufacturing operation You ensure compliance with standard operating procedures You monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards You provide leadership and training to all staff to accomplish company goals and objectives You manage the performance of all direct reports and take appropriate steps to ensure team engagementPlan and organize daily production operationsCoordinate plant activities through the planning with shift supervisors to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective mannerEnsure proper inventory of ingredients for plant useEnsure shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel be ready for customer tours at any time through proper management of cleanliness and professionalismProvide leadership and training to staff to accomplish the company goals and objectives

The Right Candidate:

Possess a minimum of 3 years in Manufacturing Management - Bachelors in related field, preferred Demonstrate exemplary verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving ability with high attention to detail Acquire high energy level and drive required to proactively execute on production management responsibilities without constant supervision Exhibit excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking ability Proficient in all Windows based programs and familiar with ERP and MES SystemsHappy to commute to our feed manufacturing facility located in Shippensburg, PAAbout the
