Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Project Manager specialized in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing to lead complex projects within our innovative production environment. This role serves as client service liaison between Mission Pharmacal Company and its customers and oversees small to medium commercial and development projects. This role performs duties of a level one project manager, which include leading several development and operational teams and managing cross-functional activities for a small portfolio of projects.
Duties:
Lead the planning, execution, and closing of pharmaceutical manufacturing projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Develop comprehensive project plans incorporating scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and resource allocation. Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables clearly; translate these into detailed process maps and business process models. Conduct root cause analysis and risk assessments to proactively identify issues; develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and quality standards. Serve as the primary liaison between Mission's customers and the Development, Operations, Quality, Purchasing and Logistics Departments of Mission; ensure that good communication is maintained. Lead and build multi-disciplinary project teams, serving as the internal advocate for Mission's customers, while balancing Mission's requirements and prioritie s. Compile and maintain relevant project plans, implement action plans for each customer. Ensure that key development milestones are being achieved and that programs are progressing in a timely manner. Track progress of all activities; communicate all potential issues or delays with relevant personnel and customers. Conduct collaborative project team meetings, provide agendas, and issue minutes with identified action items.
Qualifications:
Proven experience supervising pharmaceutical manufacturing projects with a strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and regulatory compliance. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban. Demonstrated expertise in change management, program development, process mapping, requirements analysis, and business process modeling. Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams; capable of motivating team members while managing conflict effectively. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Basecamp or Project Server; skilled in data analysis using Excel or SAS for informed decision-making. Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree required. Five or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience supporting portfolio management, product & pipeline selection. Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, present complex information clearly, and manage stakeholder expectations across multiple departments. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory landscape, intellectual property, and industry growth drivers. Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt are highly desirable; experience with Waterfall and Agile frameworks is essential.
Additional Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, project management systems, etc.

Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers, managers, suppliers, vendors, and the general public. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Mathematical and Critical Thinking Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide both in American Standard and Metric Systems. Understand the utilize statistical methods.
