full-time Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Manufacturing Cell Manager is responsible for on time delivery, production costs, quality and quantity, methods application, and effective utilization of labor, machines, and equipment of the assigned value stream.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage employees and the daily operations of the assigned manufacturing cell. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the area on all shifts. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management; addressing concerns; and resolving problems. Communicate effectively with employees reporting to this position, as well as, employees at all levels of the organization. Set & attain department goals. Facilitate/lead department and process improvement teams in continuous improvement efforts using lean enterprise techniques. Investigate production delays and expedite corrective action. Recommend proper staffing levels for the department. Administer company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate management record keeping including production reports, quality reports, performance evaluation, employee time & safety records, etc. Delegate tasks responsibly within the department. Promote and assure safe work practices and spearhead/support safety initiatives (ie: R3, etc.). Provide/oversee technical training or any other assigned training for the cell personnel. Provide timely response and resolution of quality, production , and personnel issues. Develop and maintain performance measures. Education and/or Experience - A minimum of three years of production supervision and a related associate's or bachelor's degree is required. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, assembly and paint prep), cost of quality (i.e. scrap and rework) is required.



Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Enterprise techniques is preferred.
