Job Summary Provide leadership, direction, and support to all molding department personnel while creating an environment focused on safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Responsible for developing employees, removing obstacles to success, and ensuring effective communication across all shifts and departments. Lead the molding operation to achieve performance objectives in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and driving sustainable results. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and mentor supervisors and production personnel through coaching, training, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement throughout the department. Ensure clear, timely, and consistent communication across all shifts and with supporting departments including Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Human Resources. Proactively identify operational risks, production constraints, staffing needs, and equipment issues before they impact safety, quality, or production performance. Lead daily production review meetings and establish priorities to achieve production schedules and customer requirements. Remove barriers that prevent employees from performing effectively and provide the resources necessary for success. Monitor and improve key performance indicators including Safety, Quality, Throughput, Scrap, Labor Efficiency, OEE, Inventory Accuracy, and On-Time Delivery. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, process stability, and cost control. Oversee mold maintenance activities, tooling performance, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance programs. Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and performance expectations. Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve process issues and implement corrective actions. Manage inventory levels of packaging materials, tooling components, and production supplies. Promote employee engagement by encouraging feedback, collaboration, and participation in problem-solving activities. Maintain accurate operational records and provide regular performance reporting to plant leadership. Support workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, employee development, and succession planning efforts. Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to employee development. Required Knowledge Scientific and decoupled molding principles. Injection molding process optimization and troubleshooting. Mold design, maintenance, and repair practices. Resin materials and material handling systems. Machine operation, maintenance, and process controls. Production planning, scheduling, and inventory management. Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies. Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Plant safety programs and regulatory requirements. Performance metric analysis including Safety, Quality, Throughput, Scrap, Labor Efficiency, and OEE. Employee training, development, and performance management. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational objectives.

Education Requirements Minimum:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred:

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Chemical Processing, Engineering, Business, general studies or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degrees. Pay:

$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
